TP Nine: House on Mango Street

Early in the novel, we are shown how important it is to Esperanza to have a house she
can “point to” (5). In this section of the novel, she begins revealing what that might be
like. The metaphor of a home is carried throughout the book. Find and cite evidence of Esperanza’s vision of her dream house. (150-200 words).
