These are the instructions for the project:
Instructions
Now it is time for you to put together all the knowledge you have gained in this course and share it with your classmates.
I want you to consider a project that can be performed by your chosen company to either resolve an ongoing issue, increase units produced, increase productivity, or improve the organization in some other way. Examples may include but aren’t limited to constructing a new factory, replacing old equipment, replacing old software with new, implementing a new quality assurance program, reducing the amount of electricity utilized, reducing waste generated in production, etc. Be creative, but also be realistic. Your assigned group will develop a Project Management Plan.
Each group will write a Project Management Plan paper in an MS Word document formatted according to APA guidelines.
Paper length must be 1000-1500 words (not including cover pages and references).
The paper must contain at least the following elements and sections:
Cover page (Paper title, Course title, Student names)
Introduction
The business case for your project
Project Scope
Reference list of 2+ supporting references (Scholarly references are journal/periodical articles or books.)
You can use the attached Final Paper Template Word document formatted in APA style to write your paper. Also attached is a Schedule Management Plan spreadsheet you can use for your paper if needed.
A detailed and comprehensive project management plan with the magnitude and complexities of the projects in this assignment (hospital, airport, bridge, etc.) can be hundreds of pages long, and that is beyond the scope of this 8-week course. We are also very aware that you and your teammates might not be subject matter experts on your particular project. However, the expectation is that the group will deliver a comprehensive but not very detailed summary of a large project plan that could be used as an executive summary to cover all the main components of the project but only at a high level. The executive summary paper (and its corresponding 10-minute presentation) could be used to promote solutions for the four most common quality management problems for approval to top management or government authorities.
The attached Final Paper Template has elements that can be covered in the Final Paper. We intentionally left out of the assignment other elements that are typically included in a formal project plan (resource planning, for example.) Be sure you follow the instructions in the template.
attached is the project my team has decided to go with. My part is evaluation, risk management and closing, so just write that part based on the project my team has chosen. Please provide scholarly sources.
